An area of 20ha of wetland will be rehabilitated in the old River channel to compensate for the loss of 19ha of fishponds resulting from Stage 1 works. Stage 2 of the Project involves a loss of 22ha of fishponds, which will be mitigated through enhancement management for conservation purposes of existing wetland areas.
