Follow up on complaints against vehicle repair workshops
EPD will follow up on public environmental complaints against vehicle repair workshops. If a workshop being complained has joined the "Collaboration Scheme with Vehicle Repair Workshops" and agreed to seek advice from their trade peers, EPD will refer the case to the Hong Kong Vehicle Repair Merchants Association (HKVRMA) or the Environmental Vehicle Repairers Association (EVRA). They will then send their Vehicle Repair Workshop Environmental Ambassador (Ambassador) to contact the workshop with a view to providing advice and improving pollution problems. The ambassador will notify EPD of the relevant follow-up actions.
Currently, there are 65 environmental ambassadors with the collaboration scheme.
Inviting vehicle repair workshops to join the "Collaboration Scheme with Vehicle Repair Workshops"
We welcome trade practitioners to join the Scheme. Vehicle repair workshops interested in joining the scheme please refer to EPD's invitation letter and return by email, fax or post the completed application forms to EPD for processing. (Invitation letter and application form are in the box below:)
