Regional Air Quality Monitoring Network results for the first half of 2013

The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Department of Environmental Protection of Guangdong Province (GDEPD) today (October 31) released the monitoring results of the Pearl River Delta Regional Air Quality Monitoring Network measured from January to June 2013. A report on the analysis of four major air pollutants (i.e. sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone and respirable suspended particulates) is available on both the EPD's website(http://www.epd.gov.hk/epd/english/resources_pub/publications/m_report.h…) and GDEPD’s website(http://www.gdep.gov.cn/).
 
The environmental monitoring authorities of the two sides will continue to monitor the regional air quality and release to the public the latest monitoring results on a half-yearly basis. The monitoring results for the whole year of 2013 are expected to be available in April 2014.
