With the implementation of the construction mitigation measures set out in the EIA and good construction site practices, there will be no adverse impacts to the receiving water bodies. During the operation, restoration and aftercare phases of the Extension, leachate and sewage being collected will be properly treated to meet effluent discharge standards before disposal to sewers. In a very long term, the potential impacts on groundwater quality are predicted to be slight from both these sources.
