Monitoring of surface water and site inspections are recommended to be carried out during the construction phase in order to check the environmental performance of the construction works on a regular basis. To monitor the performance of the operation/restoration and aftercare of the Extension, it is recommended to monitor the quality of surface water and groundwater at the monitoring wells and collection sumps at the Extension.
