Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit
1. All
measures described in the Project Profile submitted with the application on 3
May 2006 shall be fully implemented.
2. To
avoid emergency sewage overflow during operation of the Project, one standby
pump and backup power supply shall be provided. A telemetry system shall be provided to
transmit signals showing irregularity or operational problem of the Tsing Lung
Tau Pumping Station to the Sham Tseng Sewage Treatment Works.
3. To
minimize odour impact during operation of the Project, covered wet well with
submersible pumps, valve and flow meter chamber shall be located
underground. The control system,
odour control apparatus and inlet chamber shall be enclosed by a single-storey
concrete structure.
4. To
minimize odour impact during operation of the Project, a deodorization unit
shall be installed.
Note
Under section 17 of the EIA
Ordinance, the applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against the above
conditions within 30 days of receipt of the notice of the Director’s decision.
