7. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Conclusions

7.1 Environmental monitoring and audit was performed in October 2006. All monitoring and audit results in the month were checked and reviewed.

7.2 All 1-hour and 24-hour TSP monitoring results recorded in the month complied with the Action and Limit Levels.

7.3 All noise monitoring results recorded in the month complied with the Action and Limit Levels.

7.4 Water quality monitoring was suspended since 1 December 2005 as there is no rock and sand excavation at the inter-tidal zone for the construction of Slope 6SW-D/FR 17.

7.5 In general, the Contractor satisfactorily implemented all the required mitigation measure and was reasonably responsive to the ET’s recommendations on any discrepancy observed during the weekly environmental site inspection.

7.8 No environmental complaint, notification of summons and successful prosecution was received in the reporting month.

Recommendations
