Major dust
source was from dump truck traffic at the haul road behind the Contractor’s
site office at Area B1 (Part of the haul road behind the Contractor’s site
office was used and maintained by the Fill Bank, while the rest was
maintained by the CWSF). |

Actions taken / to be taken |

The Contractor was advised to use the water hose or
sprinklers for water spraying at the haul road behind the Contractor’s site
office at Area B1; ·
One additional monitoring on
24-hr TSP had been arranged on 16 May 2007 to review the effectiveness of the
mitigation measures. |

ET Advice |
·
Increase water spraying frequency at works area and all
haul road especially during dry or sunny weather, including the haul road
behind the site office at Area B1, being used by dump truck from the Project; ·
Regularly clear the deposited silt on the haul road behind
the Contractor’s site office at Area B1; ·
Ensure wheel-wash is provided to
all dump trucks leaving the site using site exit at Area B1; ·
Ensure the area near the site
exit and all the haul roads to be sufficiently dampened; ·
Advise the dump truck drivers to
travel on the dampened haul roads. |
