Application for Approval to Apply Directly for an Environmental Permit

Project Title: Proposed Short Term Tenancy No. KX 1977 to Hong Kong Shooters Confederation
(HKSC) for Use of the Roof of Fung Wong Services Reservoir as a Temporary Firing Range
Conditions Imposed under Sections 5(12) of the Ordinance
for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit
1. No firing activity shall take place in the firing range from 16:00 hour to 10:00 hour of the next day.
2. No more than 100 gunshots shall be fired in any half-hour period.
3. The applicant shall only operate the firing range before any resident occupies the former Shatin Pass Estate site. The applicant shall seek the Director's prior approval for any time extension if the applicant intends to continue the operation of the firing range at the Project site after residential occupation has started at the former Shatin Pass Estate site.
4. All measures described in the Project Profile submitted by the applicant on 5 June 2002, together with those requirements mentioned in the above conditions, shall be fully implemented.
Note:
Under section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of receipt of this notice of the Director's decision.
