Protect Title: Proposed Installation of High Pressure Gas Pipeline Passing Through the Edge of the Ma On Shan Country Park Adjacent to the Ma On Shan Service Reservoir
Conditions Imposed under Section 5(12) of the EIA Ordinance
For Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit
1. All measures described in the Project Profile submitted with the Application on 9August 2004 shall be fully implemented.
2.The footprint of the works area shall be restricted to 5cm in width along the alignment shown in Figure 3 of the Project Profile.
3.The affected area shall be hydroseeded after installation of the gas pipeline.
4.A Compensatory Planting Plan shall be submitted to the Director of Environmental Protection for agreement at least 2 months before completion of installation of the gas pipeline. The Plan shall include details on the number, locations and species of compensatory plants and the implementation schedule.
5.The Applicant shall undertake a 2-year maintenance programme following completion of compensatory planting in accordance with the requirements set out in the Compensatory Planting Plan.
Note
Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
