1.
All measures described in the Project Profile submitted by
the applicant to EPD on 15 September 2004 shall be fully implemented.
2.
Silt curtain shall be provided around all dredging grab(s)
at all time throughout the dredging operation to contain the dispersion of
sediments. The silt curtain shall
be made of permeable fabric and extended to seabed. The silt curtain shall be properly maintained to ensure no
sediment release at the seabed / silt curtain interface and at the topwater
level / silt curtain interfaces.
3.
Barges shall leave the site for off-site disposal of the
dredged mud as soon as they are fully loaded with dredged sediment.
4.
The proposed water quality monitoring programme in the
Project Profile shall be fully implemented throughout the Project period
including a period of at least 2 weeks immediately after the completion of
dredging works.
Note:
Under section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against the above condition within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
