Project Title: Upgrading of Chinese University Sewage Pumping Station

Conditions Imposed under section 5(12) of the Ordinance

For Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

1. All measures described in the Project Profile submitted with the application on 6 October 2008 shall be fully implemented.

2. The Applicant shall submit a landscape and visual plan with landscape treatment and color scheme of the building to the Director for approval prior to the submission of application for Environmental Permit.

3. One standby pump with mechanical screen and dual power supply shall be installed and maintained during operation to avoid emergency sewage overflow. The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) system shall be installed, properly maintained and managed.

4. The temporary pumping facilities shall be equipped with emergency standby power supply and properly managed to avoid emergency sewage overflow.

Note:

Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
