1. All
measures described in the Project Profile (No. PP-394/2009) submitted by the applicant

full containment approach shall be adopted for the demolition works to avoid
the release of contaminated materials to the environment.
3. Prior
to the decommissioning of the incinerators, all internal surfaces including the
ceiling, walls and the floor of the incinerator room shall be decontaminated by
using High Efficiency Particulate Air vacuum cleaner, scrubbing and wet wiping.
4. All
residual ash inside incinerator units, ash collectors and on the surfaces of
walls and the ceiling of the incinerator units and the materials generated
during the decommissioning process including clothes and filters shall be
disposed of at the Chemical Waste Treatment Facilities.
5. All
detached sections of the incinerator units and the brick-lined combustion furnaces
upon removal shall be wrapped with three layers of fire retardant polythene
sheets. The outermost wrapping
shall be decontaminated by wet wiping in the contamination unit.

Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant
may appeal to the Appeal Board against the above conditions within 30 days of
the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
