Conditions of Approval under Section 8(3) of the EIA Ordinance (the Ordinance)

The EIA Report as exhibited under Section 7(1) of the Ordinance is approved by the Director on the following conditions:

1. The project proponent shall not, for the marine bored piles construction, carry out formation of underwater sockets into rock in May to June which is the peak calving season of Chinese White Dolphins;

2. The project proponent shall not use underwater percussive piling for the project; and

3. The project proponent shall increase the frequency of monitoring of Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) level, in consultation with the Environmental Protection Department, to ensure that appropriate mitigation measures, including stoppage of works if necessary, would be taken to mitigate any upsurge of TSP level.
