Project Title: Construction of a Secondary Boundary Fence and New Sections of Primary Boundary Fence and Boundary Patrol Road

Reference of the Approved EIA Report in the Register : AEIAR-136/2009

Conditions of Approval under Section 8(3) of the EIA Ordinance (the Ordinance)

The EIA report as exhibited under Section 7(1) of the Ordinance is approved by the Director of Environmental Protection with the following conditions:

1. The project proponent shall conduct archeological field surveys prior to the commencement of construction works at Pak Fu Shan and Lin Ma Hang within the project area at Section 3 and take mitigation measures to protect archeological potentials, if found before or after commencement of construction works, to the satisfaction of the Antiquities and Monuments Office.

2. The project proponent shall implement the mitigation measures regarding tree preservation of conservation interest, including in-situ preservation with protective fencing, and landscaping in the site during the construction and operational phases as recommended in the EIA report.

3. The use of powered mechanical equipment shall be avoided at the whole project area at Section 2 during the bird migratory seasons.
