1. For those noise sources located within the Wholesale Fish Market
Hall which is an enclosed space with an opening to the sea-side, a correction
factor of +6 dB(A) is incorporated to account for the reverberant effect
inside the WFM as a conservative assumption. For the sound pressure level
inside a room due to fixed plant operation can be expressed as
SPL=SWL+10log(Q/4pr^2+4/R) dB, where the
term 10log4/R represents the reverberant sound field in a room. In a
worst-scenario point of view, the term R would become unity and 10log4 equals
6. Therefore, without knowing the interior finishes of the room, we have
assumed a +6 dB(A) correction for reverberant effect. |
