Clinical Waste Electronic Consignment System
Environmental Protection Department has implemented a Clinical Waste Electronic Consignment System (the System) progressively. The System captures waste consignment data from clinical waste producers, collectors and disposal facilities through smart cards and a tailor-made mobile application. Data can then be fed into the System for real-time monitoring.

All clinical waste producer with a valid Premise Code will receive a waste producer smart card. Simply show the smart card to the collectors during clinical waste collection and the whole process can complete in seconds. |
| Producers can login the System to view and download the real-time trip ticket records. Collectors and disposal sites can also generate different consignment reports to suit their needs. |

Advantages of the System:
- Enhance real-time tracing of clinical waste consignment from cradle to grave;
- Detect non-conformance of clinical waste collection more readily; and
- Minimize human error by automatic data synchronization.
