Example 6: Changing Trip estimates (Method 1)
This screen and the next illustrate how to change trip estimates. For example, if Hong Kong institutes a new Transportation Control Measure (TCM) that reduces trips for petrol Private Cars in 2015 to 250,000 trips per day, the planner can estimate the potential emission reductions from this new TCM.
There are two potential methods for doing this analysis. The first example (Method 1) looks at a conformity approach to modifying trips, while the second (Method 2) looks at a simple modification to the total trip estimates.
Note: the outputs for each method are slightly different because in Method 1 you also change the running exhaust.
