Rural Planning and Improvement Strategy - Minor Projects Environmental Guidance Note

This Guidance Note is to provide environmental advice on the most usual Rural Planning and Improvement Strategy(RPIS) Minor Projects and guidelines for works departments on planning RPIS Minor Projects from environmental point of view. The aims of this Guidance Note are :

1. to provide guidance for both the works departments responsible for implementing the RPIS Minor Projects and other concerned departments on dealing with the environmental aspects of the projects; and
    
2. to streamline the Environmental Review (ER) process. Provided that works departments can plan and implement the projects in accordance with this Guidance Note, there is no need to have individual ER for RPIS Minor Projects.
