To address any potential concern on local air quality issues related to the operation of the Sludge Treatment Facility (STF) and for collecting objective air quality data of the district, an Air Quality Monitoring Station (AQMS) has been set up at the roof of the Tuen Mun Public Library which is about 7 km from the STF. The AQMS monitoring data can reflect any change in air quality.
