Notes to Applicants and Application Form
- Any person/company who wishes to use the refuse transfer service may apply for an account and register with the Director of Environmental Protection (the Director) vehicle(s) under his name for the disposal of waste at the refuse transfer stations (RTSs). The applicant should be the register owner of the vehicle.
- Before filling in the application form applicants should read and have a thorough understanding of the Service Conditions.
- Applicants are required to submit the following information / documents: -

- The Director will by notice in writing inform the applicant the result of the application. Unsuccessful applicants may appeal in writing to the Director within 14 days after the date of issue of the notice of refusal.
- Should the application be accepted, the applicant will receive a Deposit Demand Note issued by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD). The applicant should follow the instruction of the Demand Note and pay a refundable security deposit of $2000 per registered vehicle, before his registered vehicle(s) could use the refuse transfer service.
- Upon the successful opening of an account and the registration of vehicles, the registered vehicles can use the refuse transfer service offered by any of the 7 refuse transfer stations/facilities.
- Should there be any changes in the account details, e.g. change of address, contact numbers, vehicle details, etc., the account-holder shall inform the EPD as soon as possible.
