Environmental Seminar for Restaurant Trade
On 26 and 29 August 2002, the Environment and Hygiene Committee of the Eastern District Council organized two environmental seminars entitled "Environmentally Friendly Restaurants Have Added Values" for the restaurant trade. Management personnel and kitchen operators in the district were invited to participate in the seminars. These seminars were co-organized by the Environmental Protection Department, Food and Environmental Hygiene Department and Eastern District Office. The seminars, through talks, demonstrations, dramas and forums, brought along the information about environmental protection in restaurants. The seminars were attended by some 140 people. An opinion poll revealed that the feedback from the participants was generally encouraging.
