The Airport Authority conducted the Airport Environmental Best Practice Competition between July 2006 and March 2007. The topic of this year was "Air Quality Management". The competition aimed to encourage the organizations operating in the airport to raise their green management standard and promote the best green measures.
From September 2006 to February 2007, the judging panel from the Airport Authority, EPD, Business Environment Council and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology was formulating the assessment standard and conducting pre-screening according to the participant classifications. On 7 & 8 of March, the onsite assessment was carried out.
The Awards Ceremony was held on 22 March at Regal Airport Hotel with the awards winners shared their experience in improving air quality.
