SME Development Fund – Support Programme for Mitigation & Control of Cooking Fume Emissions Launching Ceremony
The Launching Ceremony of SME Development Fund – Support Programme for Mitigation & Control of Cooking Fume Emissions was held on 25 January 2007 and publicized this programme to restaurant trade, equipment suppliers, service contractors and related trades. The programme was organized by Hong Kong Federation of Restaurants & Related Trades (HKFORT), funded by Trade and Industry Department and supported by EPD.
The Ceremony consisted of two sections. The first was the Launching Ceremony held in Auditorium, Jockey Club Environmental Building, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. Mr. Andrew Lee, Vice President of HKFORT and Chairman of Support Programme for Mitigation and Control of Cooking Fume Emission for Restaurant and Catering Industry, Mr. Ngai Wing Chit, Assistant Director of Trade and Industry Department and Dr. Mike Chiu, Deputy Director of EPD, were invited to give speeches.
The second section was the visit to the Cooking Fume Emission Testing Centre in Fo Tan. The CMA Testing and Certification Laboratories and Dr. Yeung Lam Lun of HKUST demonstrated the testing technology of cooking fume pollution control equipment.
The mass media also attended and reported the activity and some 100 participants attended the ceremony.
