From 16 March 2009, the Interim Grease Trap Waste Treatment Facility at the West New Territories Landfill in Tuen Mun was closed and replaced by a new Grease Trap Waste Treatment Facility housed within the West Kowloon Transfer Station. To help the grease trap waste collectors to have more in-depth understanding of the streamlined arrangements, two briefing sessions and guided tours to the new treatment facility were conducted on the 24 February 2009.
