To advance the knowledge in environmental legislative requirements, pollution control technologies and environmental management for the restaurant trade, senior environmental protection officer, Mr. Tsui Wing-sing, provided a presentation on "The New Green Concepts for Restaurants" to the Tao Miao students at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Chai Wan) on 14 December 2011.
The presentation included an overview of local restaurant trade, legislative requirements related to restaurants, common pollution problems of restaurants, EPD's Restaurant Partnership Programme, cases of some good environmental practices, environmental management system and survey results on environmental performance of restaurant trade.
