Why ISO 14001 Certified? Answers from those who were certified

Being a major electrical and mechanical services contractor in Hong Kong, we have adopted our environmental management system since 2004 and decided to go for ISO14001 certification in 2006, and was so certified in 2007.  The initial drive was to answer to our social responsibility in protecting the environment and to increase operation efficiency through reduction of waste.  The result has been encouraging as staff members become more conscious in all aspects to achieve good practice overall, not just in environmental issues.
