Green construction practices move with vision, our top management provides the vision and makes it a reality. It is aware that nowadays the construction industry in Hong Kong has never been tougher. Companies are no longer competing solely on prices. Attracting and retaining customers relies on good design, value engineering, technological innovation, material / energy efficiency, function and service extension, environmentally sensitive resource conservation, environmental pollution cost, environmental risk and liability - in short, on environmental performance. But environmental performance does not happen by chance. It is the duty of the Managing Director to decide on the direction towards a green performance. Through the top management, who must secure the whole-hearted commitment of every member of the Company and the managers successfully implement the environmental management to achieve the benefits that sound green performance have to be offered.
In order to strengthen our commitment, our established Integrated Management System (IMS) as per the international standards including the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 is certified by an accredited third party certification body.
In our daily operations, we are always able to find areas for improvement on regulatory compliance; environmental programme; onsite control of air, noise and water; waste management; energy conservation as well as housekeeping. Our operation is reviewed regularly; problem areas are then identified and seek solutions. As results on this practice, continual improvement has been achieved.
Cultivating a green construction culture meeting the needs and demands of all its stakeholders, and is a successful way to achieve by a sustainable construction company. By adopting green practices to improve the environmental quality and turn our construction sites “green”; and also by communicating the message that we seek to minimize negative environmental impacts, the Company demonstrates to stakeholders our strong environmental responsibility.
Influence customers, business partners as well as our community in environmental matters, we try to create methods or processes that could be a “benchmark” to our customers and business partners. Our pioneer experience in using these new methods or processes will indeed save our customers or business partners a great deal of time in the search for the same or similar solution. Through the experience sharing of various activities, the green methods or processes that we practice may have significant long-term environmental or economic benefits to our community.
