Traditionally, the concrete manufacturing industry has often been regarded as an environmentally unfriendly industry. Hong Kong Concrete Co. Ltd. is a leading concrete manufacturer in Hong Kong who believes that adopting and applying an effective environmental management system could remove this bias.

We obtained the ISO 14001 Certification for Environmental Management from the HKQAA in 2003 through establishing and implementing a series of control measures to eliminate and minimize environmental impact. We are enhancing the staff awareness of environmental protection, increasing workplace environmental standards and reducing wastage as well as reducing costs.

Based on our experience, we highly recommend other industrial undertakings to adopt and integrate the ISO 14001 Environmental Management concept into their business strategy so as to enjoy its benefits.
