CHEVALIER (HK) LIMITED - LIFT AND ESCALATOR DIVISION
Established in 1970, the Lift and Escalator Division was the Chevalier Group’s first major department and remains one of the Group’s core businesses today. Since the establishment of the Division, Chevalier has been the sole distributor for Toshiba lifts and escalators in Hong Kong, and has installed comfortable, safe and reliable lifts and escalators for a variety of commercial and industrial buildings, government offices and residential development projects. The Division is accredited with the ISO9001 and ISO14001 certification.
Chevalier is dedicated to deliver quality products and services to its customers, in an environmentally acceptable, inherently safe and sustainable manner, which meets all applicable contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements. Chevalier also provides a healthy, safe and environmentally sustainable workplace for employees and other personnel affected by its business activities.
Rational for Implementing ISO14001 Environmental Management System
Chevalier recognizes that, as part of the Hong Kong business community, it has the social responsibility to protect the environment, in particular to minimize waste and prevent pollution whist undertaking its business activities. To fulfill its commitment to environmental protection, Chevalier has adopted a systematic approach to develop and maintain an environmental management system in accordance with the ISO14001 International Standard, with special emphasis on continual improvement in the environmental performance.

Certification to the ISO14001 International Standard has further enhanced Chevalier’s corporate image and recognition from its customers and business partners.
Through the implementation of ISO14001 environmental management system, the awareness of all staff and the suppliers/subcontractors in environmental protection has been promoted. Chevalier has maintained an ongoing process of environmental impact identification; implemented measures to eliminate or minimize environmental impacts; and provided procedures, practices and guidelines as required to maintain environmental conditions in compliance with the legislations and requirements. With an effective management program, Chevalier has accomplished the set objectives and targets upon pollution reduction and resources conservation.
