As a leading property management company in Hong Kong, we are very conscious of our responsibilities towards the environment. We believe in maintaining our environment in harmony with the long-term sustainability of the ecosystem and are committed to promoting a green culture and protection of the environment.
Guardian believes that a good corporation has its obligations towards the community. That is why we make considerable contributions towards the enhancement of civil awareness and promotion of the green living style. We are fully committed to exerting considerable effort in this area and we aim to manage homes and offices in the most environmentally responsible manner, in accordance with Government’s green policy of a more environmentally friendly Hong Kong.
When appropriate, we will put into place an Environmental Management System (ISO 14000) at the properties we manage. Together with our customers and partners, we will focus on what we can do to reduce waste and protect our environment. Through the implementation of ISO 14000, we aim to maintain and continually improve our high standards of environmental management.
ISO 14001 certification has a number of social and economic benefits:
- certification to international standards by an independent third party gives greater credibility to our environmental management system;
- it enhances our image and demonstrates to our clients that we are proactive in caring for the environment;
- ISO 14001 certification highlights to the communities that Guardian is good corporate citizens that is concerned about the potential impacts its work could have on the environment, and takes action to ensure that these are managed;
- certification encourages us to consistently look to improve our operating methods, which in turn leads to greater efficiency, reduces wastage and cost savings.
Through our “green” initiatives, we plan to manage “green” properties to demonstrate our commitment and support to the people of Hong Kong.
