The Third Hong Kong Green School Award

Objective:
In order to promote the message of Green School in Hong Kong, Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) invites students to make Green School Mascots for their schools. These mascots will join the hand-in-hand activity in the Third Hong Kong Green School Award Presentation Ceremony tentatively scheduled to be held in April 2003. The mascots will represent the schools to promote environmental management and environmental education to other schools and the public.

Details of the Competition:
Only used materials should be used for making the mascots, e.g. old fabric, used papers, cartons, etc. Each mascot must be able to stand on its own and has a pair of hands to join hands with other mascots. The maximum dimension of each mascot is 30cm wide x 45cm high and the minimum is 20cm wide x 37cm high. The competition is divided into primary and secondary school categories. The competition is assessed on team basis with 3 to 4 students in each team. Each team can submit one entry via the School Head. There is no limit on the number of entries submitted from each school. Entrants should send the major points of production including creation idea, brief description, material used and the artwork design together with the completed entry form (or can be downloaded from ECC website: http://www.ecc.org.hk) to ECC Secretarial (Attn: Ms. Clare Lui), Rm4522, 45/F., Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong on or before 14 March 2003 (Friday). The mascots are to represent their schools and should be kept by the schools. ECC may display the mascots in other exhibitions. ECC will invite participants to display their mascots at the Third Hong Kong Green School Award Presentation Ceremony when the adjudication will take place. The copyright of the Overall Champion of the competition will be owned by ECC.
