Green Construction Practice - Everybody's Responsibility
The EPD and Hong Kong Construction Association will jointly organize an environmental workshop called "Green Construction Practice - Everybody's Responsibility" on 20 Oct 2003. The guest speaker from the HKCA will introduce the advantage of the "Pay-for-the-Environment" policy in construction projects, which would enhance environmental protection measures to be implemented conscientiously. EPD will introduce the soon implementation of a new arrangement to reduce the processing time for Construction Noise Permit applications from 23 days to 14 days. Maunsell Environmental Management Consultants Ltd will disseminate their findings gathered from construction companies on preparedness for environmental protection.
