EIA
report on Lok Ma Chau Spur Line exhibited
The environmental
impact assessment (EIA) report for the Sheung Shui to Lok
Ma Chau Spur Line is being exhibited according to the EIA
Ordinance for the public to comment between June 12 and July
11.
"Members
of the public can send their written comments on the EIA report
to the Director of Environmental Protection during the public
inspection period via the EIA Ordinance Register Office on
27th floor, Southorn Centre or by fax to 2147 0894," a spokesman
for the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) said today
(June 12).
The EIA
report will be presented to the Advisory Council on the Environment
(ACE) in July for discussion.
"The
Director of Environmental Protection will consider all comments
submitted to him during the public inspection period and the
views of the ACE before making a final decision on the report,"
the spokesman said.
