Proposed
sewerage works in North District gazetted
The Environmental
Protection Department (EPD) is planning to provide sewerage
for four villages in North District as part of the Government's
effort to improve the water quality at Deep Bay.
The proposed
works, which will be carried out by the Drainage Services
Department starting early 2002, was published in the Government
Gazette today (August 25).
A spokesman
for the EPD said: "The four villages include Tsung Pak Long,
Tai Tau Leng, Hang Tau and Yin Kong.
"Under
the North District Sewerage Stage I Phase 1B, the sewerage
works will take 28 months to complete."
Details
of the proposal, in both English and Chinese, will be put
up at prominent positions near the works area."
