Public
welcome to attend Clean Air Exhibition
The Environmental
Protection Department (EPD) and the Environmental Campaign
Committee will organise a large scale "Clean Air Exhibition"
on March 10 (Sunday) to enhance the public awareness of clean
air initiatives and encourage them to adopt a green lifestyle.
The Exhibition
is designed for people of all ages as well as whole families.
Visitors
can have a close look at vehicles using alternative fuels
at the 'Clean Vehicle Corner'. They include a trolley bus,
a hybrid engine saloon as well as LPG and electric vehicles.
Two buses complying with the latest Euro III standards will
also be shown there.
They
will learn about a wide range of issues relating to air quality
through 12 workshops organised by the EPD, Green Power, World
Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong and Conservancy Association
on different themes.
Apart
from an interactive game illustrating good practices to clean
air, there will be booths to demonstrate ways to improve indoor
air quality and measures to control smoky vehicles.
An area
will be designated for the public to take photos with a cartoon
figure, Clean Air Captain.
The public
are welcome to attend the Exhibition, which will be held between
10.30 am and 6.30 pm at Hall 2, New Wing, Hong Kong Convention
and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai. Admission is free.
