Entitled
Environment Hong Kong 2002, the annual report looks ahead
at the priority tasks for coming years, a spokesman for the
EPD said today (May 12).
It emphasises
on the efforts the EPD has made to form partnerships with
key stakeholders in tackling environmental problems.
"These
efforts are bearing fruit and we plan to extend the partnership
programmes further", the spokesman noted.
The annual
report also gives an account of cooperation with regional
and international organisations on protecting the environment.
Running
into 136 pages, the full-colour annual report is printed on
recycled paper. With a well-designed layout, it serves as

the past year in different subject areas including highlights
of progress as well as regional and international collaboration,
community awareness, air quality, noise management, waste
management and recycling, water quality, environmental planning
and assessment as well as enforcement of environmental legislation.
