Tenders invited for waste recycling tenancy at EcoPark
The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) is inviting contractors with relevant experience and expertise to submit tenders for a waste recycling tenancy in EcoPark Phase I in Tuen Mun Area 38.
A spokesman for the EPD said today (December 5) that the successful tenderer was required to carry out recycling of materials arising from industrial and commercial activities within the EcoPark.
"Four of the six lots in Phase I have been allocated for recycling of waste wood, used cooking oil, computer equipment and waste plastics and we are in close liaison with these tenants in setting up their operations at the EcoPark", the spokesman said.
Tenders document and further information are available at the Waste Reduction and EcoPark Group of the EPD during office hours, at Room 217, 2nd floor, East Wing, 88 Victoria Road, Kennedy Town, Hong Kong. A location map of the office and background information on the EcoPark can be obtained at its designated website, www.epd.gov.hk/epd/ecopark.
Submissions should be addressed to the Chairman, Tender Opening Committee, Government Logistics Department, before noon on January 12, 2009, and placed in the Government Logistics Department Tender Box on the ground floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong.
