Waste
paper outlets identified
The Environmental
Protection Department has identified a number of local and
overseas recycling companies for absorbing the recyclable
waste paper arising from the closure of the Concordia Paper
Limited.
Principal
Environmental Protection Officer Dr Mamie Lau said today (Friday)
that these recycling companies have outlets for recycling
waste paper in the Mainland or overseas.
"Any
waste paper collectors, paper recovery programme and campaign
organisers having difficulties in finding outlets for the
paper recovered can contact EPD for assistance.
"They
can contact Senior Environmental Protection Officer Mr Lam
Cheuk-fung on 2872 1701 or Waste Reduction and Recycling Hotline
on 2755 2750," she said.
