A lot of foundation works involved noisy activities, such as excavation/site formation, rock breaking and piling works. Typically, sound power levels of excavator/loader, bulldozer, excavator mounted breaker and piling machines can reach about 112 dB(A). Quieter equipment or methods are commercially available, which can significantly reduce the noise emission from the foundation works.

The data show that the sound pressure level of noise generated using quieter equipment and methods is significantly lower than that of using traditional equipment and methods

Noise reduction for some mitigation measures for reference.

Bursting System

Bursting system can be used for concrete breaking to replace traditional handheld percussive breakers.  It speeds up the demolition process and shortens the duration of noise production.
