The population size within 300m of each survey location
was around 15,000 to 20,000 person. The population exposure
pattern for Hoi Wah Road and Wu Shan Road are similar
with about one third of the population is exposed to
the noise levels of about 61 to 65 dB(A) during daytime
and over 56 dB(A) during evening and night-time. In
Kennedy Town Praya half of the population experienced
noise levels of about 61-65 dB(A) and 56-60 dB(A) during
evening and night-time respectively. Tables 4.1a - 4.1b
present the population exposure pattern of the three
monitoring locations.
