The population size
within 300m of each surveyed location varies from place
to place, ranged from about 1,500 persons to 45,000
persons. They are all exposed to high noise level of
up to 66 to 70 dB(A) during daytime and just slightly
lower noise level exposure in the evening and night-time.
This is mainly due to the close proximity between industrial
activities and residential properties. Tables 4.3a -
4.3e present the population exposure pattern of the
five monitoring locations.
