Tissue
samples were analysed for Total PAHs, Total PCBs, Total
DDT and TBT in an accredited laboratory, ie the laboratory
is accredited for the relevant tests by HOKLAS or an
accreditation scheme which has a mutual recognition
agreement (MRA) with HOKLAS. Identical QA/QC parameters
to those employed for the sediment chemistry testing
were used during the analysis of tissues at the analytical
laboratory.
The
specific analytes to be tested and the required methods
and detection limits are based on the monitoring programme
for East Sha Chau Contaminated Mud Pits and are given
in Table 3.2a.
