珠江三角洲水質模型研製工作現已完成
Pearl River Delta Water Quality Model Development completed
香港環保署與廣東省環境保護局攜手合作為珠江河口水域建成了一套先進的水質數值模型。該模型能有效地模擬珠江河網區及近岸海域複雜的水流動態和水質變化過程，為締造區域水環境管理和水污染控制方案提供一套科學分析工具。詳情請參閱最終研究報告。
The Guangdong Environmental Protection Bureau and the Hong Kong EPD have successfully developed an advanced numerical water quality model for the Pearl River Estuary region. The model is capable of simulating the complicated flow dynamics and water quality processes in both the Pearl river network and the coastal region, and provides a scientific analytical tool for the formulation of regional water quality management and pollution control plans. 立法規定停車熄匙
Banning idling vehicles with running engines
政府已在二零零九年一月，就立法管制停車熄匙的修訂方案諮詢環境事務委員會，並在二月二十三日向委員會匯報再次諮詢的士業界的結果。政府將開始草議條例。目標是在今個立法年度內向立法會提交條例草案，以盡早實施這項管制。
The Government has put forth a revised proposal to introduce a statutory ban on idling vehicles with running engines to the Panel on Environmental Affairs for discussion in January 2009, and reported to the Panel the outcome of further consultation with the taxi trade on 23 February 2009. The Government shall commence law drafting shortly, with the aim of introducing the Bill into the Legislative Council for scrutiny in the current legislative year for implementing the proposed ban as soon as possible. |

Banning of Commercial Fishing in Marine Parks
我們建議修訂法例，禁止在海岸公園內商業捕魚，以改善海岸公園的生態環境及加強保育海洋生物。
We propose to introduce legislative amendments in order to ban commercial fishing in marine parks, so as to improve the ecosystems in marine parks and offer better protection for marine organisms. |
