A. DETAILS OF APPLICANT

1. Name (person or company) :

  • The applicant is preferably the main contractor of the construction site concerned.
  • If the applicant is a joint venture or consortium company, please provide the names of all the concerned incorporated mother companies.

2. Business Registration No. or HK Identity card No. :

  • If the applicant is a joint venture or consortium company, please provide the Business Registration numbers of all the concerned incorporated mother companies.
  • Please provide a copy of the Business Registration Certificate of the applicant.

3. Correspondence address :

  • Please fill in the correspondence address where you want to receive the result of your application.

4. Name of contect person :

  • Please provide name, telephone no. (preferably mobile no.) and fax no. of the person who could be contacted for clarification on any particulars of the CNP application.

  • Please indicate previous CNP number, if any.

B. DETAILS OF LOCATION OF WORK

1. Full address of the construction site, include lot number where appropriate:

  • Please provide a detailed address of the construction site (such as land lot number, street number, and nearby landmark), and project name, if any.

Note:

  • Please provide a plan of appropriate scale (preferably 1:1000) just enough to show a clearly marked boundary of the work area where there are unavoidable constraints on working hours and the locations of any nearby noise sensitive receivers. An updated survey sheet issued by Lands Department is preferred. Please click here for examples.
  • If the application involves powered mechanical equipment at fixed locations, relative distances of such equipment to the site boundary or grid lines shall be indicated in metres on the submitted plan(s).
  • For cases involving noise correction(s) due to topographical features (e.g. underground work, complicated terrain, and high-rise building), please provide a scaled plan and sectional drawings showing the screening effects of such features between the noise source(s) and the NSR(s).

2. PART/WHOLE of the site falls *WITHIN/OUTSIDE a designated area.

  • Please click here for Designated Areas (DA) Maps and determine whether the construction site is within DA.
  • A CNP would not be issued if the Authority has the reason to believe that the PME proposed in the application would be used in connection with prescribed construction work (PCW). Please click here for Designated Areas under the Noise Control Ordinance and click here for examples of PCW related PME. The applicant shall indicate the intended use of such PME items or whether their uses are related to PCW in item E.2 of the application form.
