Information
obtained from this baseline monitoring study can be
fed into ERM's in-house developed system for the SUSDEV
21 study called CASET - the Computer Aided Sustainability
Evaluation Tool. The survey result provides useful data
input to supplement the information on one of the thirty-nine
sustainability indicators in the system.
The
information will be applied on two fronts:
- On
a territory wide map showing the surveyed activities,
their respective locations and relevant data, such
as population exposure to different noise level bands;
and
- On
the indicators "HELP" screen showing the
computational steps to arrive at the total exposure
population to selected non-transport related noise
sources. Parameters to be put in the "HELP"
screen include noise source locations, survey methodology,
population exposed to different noise level bands
and noise source area.
