Acoustic Window (Baffle Type)

Noise Reduction

About 4 - 8 dB(A)

Working Principle
Working Principle

Acoustic Window (Baffle Type) basically comprises two layers of windows which can be aligned in a way that the pane of inner sliding window is behind the outer opened window, such that the former can act as a baffle to screen off the noise from entering into the room. The other side of the outer layer should have fixed glazing or openable window to be kept closed during noise reduction mode. As noise can still be transmitted into the room, either directly or through multiple reflections of the window elements, absorbent may be applied on the reflecting surfaces (e.g. inner frame or panes of air gap) to enhance noise reduction effectiveness.

Summary
Reduce noise

INMD effectively reduce traffic noise impact, and facilitate housing development and supply.

Maintain air ventilation

Unlike traditional double glazing cum air conditioning, INMD reduce noise while maintaining natural air ventilation.

Easy application

INMD in window and balcony forms are available. They can be flexibly applied in housing designs.
