Sediments
were analysed for Total DDT and TBT by ALS Technichem
(HK) Pty Ltd, an accredited laboratory, ie the
laboratory has been accredited for the relevant
tests by HOKLAS or an accreditation scheme which
has a mutual recognition agreement (MRA) with
HOKLAS. The following QA/QC procedures for marine
sediment analyses were implemented:

Laboratory
Blanks - an analyte free matrix to which all
reagents are added in the same volumes or
proportions as used in the standard sample
preparation to monitor contamination introduced
in the laboratory;

Single
Control Samples - a known, interference-free
matrix spiked with target analytics used to
monitor laboratory preparation techniques;
and
-
Duplicate
Control Samples - multiple single control
samples designed to monitor preparation technique
reproducibility.
