C. Guidelines for Giving Approval to Felling
The guidelines for the giving of approval to fell any tree is:
(a) | No irreplaceable reare species of tree-is involved. | |||
(b) | Felling of tree(s) would not cause a serious environmental impact. | |||
(c) | A genuine development or traffic need to fell exists, which cannot be reasonably overcome. | |||
(d) | Compensatory landscaping/replanting to Government's satisfaction in all tree felling cases will be undertaken. | |||
(e) | The free flow of a watercourse is obstructed by trees in a manner likely to cause floods and damage to property or risk to life. | |||
(f) | The tree is not unusually large or fine example of its type. | |||
(g) | The tree is in poor condition. | |||
(h) | When the tree(s) involved cause serious traffic safety problems in terms of sightline provision which cannot be removed by reasonable pruning. |
