C. Guidelines for Giving Approval to Felling

The guidelines for the giving of approval to fell any tree is:

(a) No irreplaceable reare species of tree-is involved.
(b) Felling of tree(s) would not cause a serious environmental impact.
(c) A genuine development or traffic need to fell exists, which cannot be reasonably overcome.
(d) Compensatory landscaping/replanting to Government's satisfaction in all tree felling cases will be undertaken.
(e) The free flow of a watercourse is obstructed by trees in a manner likely to cause floods and damage to property or risk to life.
(f) The tree is not unusually large or fine example of its type.
(g) The tree is in poor condition.
(h) When the tree(s) involved cause serious traffic safety problems in terms of sightline provision which cannot be removed by reasonable pruning.
