“We have placed waste separation bins in the refuse room of each floor to make it easier for residents to separate their waste. There’s also a recyclable chute in the refuse room for bringing recyclables to the ground floor. We have also tried very hard to raise residents’ awareness about environmental protection, through such activities as the ‘Green Ambassador’ promotion. All of these measures together have resulted in a 16% increase in the quantity of recyclables we collected in 2008 compared with 2007.”
